As a new mom, there were a LOT of things I didn’t have a clue about. There was that time I let my first baby sleep through the night when he was one day old… Because I didn’t know he was supposed to eat every 2-3 hours (yeah, I actually did that). And a myriad of other newbie mistakes I’m SURE other moms besides me have made, but this knowledge didn’t make me feel any less dumb about them.
My saving grace was having the priceless resource of “veteran” moms around me that I could call on for help with these things. Didn’t make it easy, but getting over my pride and insecurities enough to ask for help has been one of my biggest accomplishments in motherhood.
Now that I’m on the other end of the spectrum (most days, haha!), I’m happy I can help other moms like you, lovely reader, with things you’re still learning on the motherhood journey. ❤️ Never be afraid to ask questions here, or voice concerns. I may not always get a chance to respond right away (re: 5 kids), but this is a place you’re safe to share your achievements and struggles.
On that note, keeping our kids healthy has likely been the primary thing I’ve had questions about throughout parenthood. What do you do when your baby has gas problems? When your kid will only eat PB&J?
As they get older, it’s also important to instill good habits that will last them throughout their adult lives. One of such good habits is taking care of their internal systems—and we’re so happy to have found Align’s new probiotic for kids (which you can grab a coupon for here), Align Jr., to help with this. These supplements provide good bacteria that help support many vital body functions, including healthy digestion. The best part? It comes in a tasty chewable form that ages 6-12 love. Now busy schedules, life changes, and stressful days have a lesser chance of disrupting our kids’ natural balance of good bacteria, and we can fortify not only their health, but their decision-making processes regarding it.*
There are still new things I learn everyday about how to take care of my family better, and I’m grateful I get the chance to share them with you.
