It’s been a while since I wrote part one of this miniseries, but we have learned many MORE ways to skinny up our budget since then! We’re still living solely off freelance jobs, which can be few and far between, but we have not missed a bill payment yet since my husband lost his full-time job, the beginning of May, 2013. That means, at the time of writing this, we’ve been at it over 9 months!
There are times when we wonder where our next paycheck is going to come from, and if we’ll have enough to buy food that week… But we get to spend more time playing with our kids, working on our future, and doing the things we love. In fact, we’ve even begun dreaming about our next trip overseas (the last one was when our first child was 6 months old)!
Without further ado, here are our newest discoveries on how to save more and live better…
SUMMARY
Get creative. These are the things we’ve done to save money and make it work with 4 kids, but I’m sure you can think of many more! Use these ideas as a springboard to simplifying your life and having more time and money for the important things.
