Feel like you need about 10 hands to do everything at once? Yeah, me too. Being a mom is like that. Nine times out of ten I’m chasing a kid (or 3) while cleaning… something (something ALWAYS needs cleaned) while addressing client #497231 via email or solving design/tech problem #908412 on my iOS device. WAHM life ain’t easy.
But Dolphin Browser just made it a whole lot more fun. All the standard browsers may do their job well, but the bells and whistles the developers have integrated in this app make every moment using it a breath of fresh air. I LOVE opening Dolphin to get stuff done because I know I can do exactly what I want with it.
Case in point: gestures. THIS BROWSER HAS GESTURES. SO basically, if you want to go to Facebook anytime you draw a heart, Dolphin will do that. Brilliant. (Also makes it way easy for moms like me who only have time for a swipe from one corner to another. SO much easier than one-handed key pecking while holding a squirming toddler.)
I also reeeeally really love downloads. Now, a lot of browsers do downloads. But not as well as Dolphin. You have full control over the file you’re downloading–file name, preview, speed/progress, etc–and you can easily export to other apps (or save to Dropbox, for that matter). Also, it doesn’t time out every 5 seconds like most of the other iOS browsers I’ve used for this purpose. MAJOR plus.
Of course you have all the standard features like tabbed browsing, private mode, bookmark syncing etc… But everything about Dolphin is just so smart. It remembers and learns what you like as you teach it. For instance, since I’ve visited Jornie a handful of times now, I went to add a “speed dial” (quick home screen bookmark) for it, and Dolphin already knew what I was talking about. Go, Dolphin. *fistbump*
In short, Dolphin is basically my go-to iOS browser for getting stuff done as a multitasking mom, and it never disappoints.
You can check it out (and download it free!) on the App Store or Google Play.
