As the days get hotter, we’re all looking for ways to cool off and make the most of the summer break. While we don’t always have the budget for theme parks and grand trips, we have learned to make every summer sparkle with even the most minimal resources.
Growing up near the (many, MANY) sunny beaches of Florida, I’ve got lots of experience with how to play in the heat. Getting creative is half the fun, and anything that can hold water or be submerged in water is fair game. Probably why this is one of my favorite posts.
Summer is kind of an anything-goes season.
But, breaking from parenting mode for a minute—can I just say how much I love all the flavors of this season? There’s nothing that says summer like a rainbow of Sparkling Ice in a bucket on a hot day.
Sparkling Ice is a great way to get hydrated, too—especially for those of us who would prefer something less bland (and way more exciting!) than water.
Although—call me lazy, but—my favorite thing about Sparkling Ice is that it’s on Amazon Prime. THERE’S EVEN A DASH BUTTON, for heaven’s sake. Could it be easier to get some flavor into our hydration? I think not!
Anyway. Back to the kids. This summer, whenever you’re watching them dance through sprinklers, and roll around in the grass, and splash buckets of water over each other’s heads, take a few seconds to absorb that sparkle you see in their eyes. These are the moments that keep us going as parents—that are so easy to miss.
And as you take a sip of your Sparkling Ice, think of us at Jornie. ;)
